The anti-bullying assembly was this week. It was organized by Ms. Lewis and the One Nation group with Foreign Figures and 5050 BMX coming to put on a show for all of the students. “It can be quite a lengthy process” says Ms. Lewis. “We’ve got all kinds of things we do throughout the year to promote being kind to one another and to change the school climate; this is just one of those.”

Foreign Figures, the band that came in support of the cause, put on a concert for all the students at Copper Hills. “If there weren’t so many suicides this probably wouldn’t be as important, but there are. Most kids just mess around and joke with their friend, but the kids who need it are listening. And that’s why we’re here rather than sleeping in.” Says bass player Seth Dunashee.

If you would like to help out with events like this, go talk to Ms. Lewis about joining One Nation so you can help. Thank you to the people who took time out of their day to support the cause and thank you to Ms. Lewis and Pam for organizing the whole event.
