There are not many things that can compare to the feeling of the cool air on the face, the album, Red (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift, being played in the background, and the vibrant oranges and dazzling reds of the fall leaves passing by as you drive through the canyons. As the Autumn season falls upon us, the leaves continue to change along with the weather. There are a number of places where you can see the beautiful change of the seasons, one of them only being about fifteen minutes away from Copper Hills.

Butterfield Canyon is a popular trail for scenic driving, biking, and photography near Herriman City. Only fifteen minutes away from Copper Hills, the quaint canyon hosts winding roads and majestic views makes the perfect place for a quiet, autumn drive. Not only is it perfect for a peaceful canyon ride, it’s also a nice spot for fall pictures. Many people enjoy taking fall photos with the amazingly colored leaves; there are many places in Butterfield to pull off to the side of the road to snap Instagram worthy photos in the natural autumn beauty.

For people interested in witnessing the enchantments of fall in a more adventurous way, Fairview Canyon, closer to Nephi, is a great option. Traveling up the mountain, there are a number of bounding roads and hills perfect for four-wheeling or ATV driving. Even though it’s an hour and a half away, the drive up and through Fairview City does not disappoint. You can see bounding hills and fields for miles as you travel up into the mountains of Fairview. Katie Lane is the most beautiful road in the canyon, as you can see hundreds of red and orange colored trees along with the breathtaking view of the lower parts of the canyon. The secluded roads make just the right spot for taking out an off-road vehicle and driving through the lovely autumn scenes that make up Fairview Canyon.

An ever popular option for most people is Park City. Away from all the shopping, resorts, and people, there are a number of options to experience the beauty of fall in Park City. Tollgate Canyon is a small, hidden canyon only about twenty minutes away from the busy mountain city. In Tollgate, there are trees for miles and miles with the brightest red leaves. It’s about 45 minutes away from Copper Hills. It has nice, paved roads for those wanting the picture perfect fall drive and more adventurous roads for those seeking thrill.

The beauty of fall in Utah is something that can’t be missed. There are a number of places to take advantage of this short season. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy belting out to All Too Well (10 minute version) (Taylor’s Version) while seeing the picture perfect fall scenes pass by.
