Lost Streak But Not Lost Hope

On Friday, September 13th, Copper Hills football suffered a devastating loss against Juan Diego, Soaring Eagles. The final score being 31-0 losing their winning streak and making them 4-1.

Copper Hills football started the season off with an amazing 4-0 record only to be crushed at the homecoming game. Juan Diego scored a touchdown in the first quarter and kept their lead throughout the game even though the Grizzlies put up a fight. Score at half time was 14-0 then Juan Diego came out and scored 17 more points to finish the game. The Grizzlies didn’t score once in this game, which was shocking due to how they were playing weeks before.

Josh Fullmer (varsity junior) went onto say how they didn’t play well as a team and didn’t have the energy needed to win. “We need to trust each other more, and have trust for our teammates,” said Fullmer. As region goes along we all hope the boys can find the groove they had the first few games and go out this season with a winning record.
