The Copper Hills High School Dance Company ended last year with a Superior Ranking at adjudication. This year’s company has 10 returning members and they are primed to have another amazing year. This year’s theme is “Make Your Own Magic.”  In other words, this means that you need to do things within yourself and you will end up with amazing results. 

Dance Company Artistic Director Jennifer Fulger said, “Dance Company is an amazing group that when put together makes its own magic.” The company this year would like to make magic.  They have set many goals that they plan to achieve by the end of the year. Dance Company member Hailey Mortensen said, “ Dance Company’s goal is to bring more school spirit and inspire others.”

Dance is a beautiful art form that requires a lot of physical and mental strength as well as passion. Dance Company has been working very hard since last April when they started practice, but they didn’t stop there. Copper Hills Dance Company attended a Ballet West Dance camp in Park City this summer. They learned three amazing dances from professional choreographers and took classes from some outstanding teachers. Park City was a great bonding experience for this year’s team. 

Overall, Dance Company is made up of a talented group of 26 girls who have an amazing passion and love for dance. Dance Company member Mikayla Irving explained that, “ Dance Company is an artistic, challenging, and hard-working team that lets us share our passion for dance with each other, Copper Hills, and our community.” Dance Company is very excited to show Copper Hills High School everything they will bring to the table this year.
