The UHSAA Utah State High School Swimming Championships were held on Friday and Saturday at Brigham Young University with Copper Hills women having the strongest showing in recent years.

Highlights of the day included Copper Hills Women taking 7th in the Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay; Junior, Katelyn Riddle taking 7th in the Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle; Junior, Emma Gonzalez taking 5th in the Women’s 100 Yard Butterfly and 8th in the Women’s 100 Yard Butterfly; Junior, Kassidy Babcock taking 5th in the Women’s 50 Yard Butterfly and 8th in the Women’s 100 Yard Freestyle.

Overall in rankings, the Copper Hills Women took 5th, while the Copper Hills men took 17th. The youth of the team and amount of underclassmen picking up wins is evidence that the CHHS Swim team has a bright future.
